This is Pikachu. When people approach Pikachu they think he is so cute. Most people think he is a harmless little fluffball. But, not anymore. Pikachu is very sensitive so if he gets even the slightest idea of you hurting him, BAM!!!  

you're knocked out. But, if you approach him slowly and possibly give him a berry or two he won't attack you. The way to become best friends with a Pikachu is either be super nice to him all the time or, save him from a life or death emergency. Pikachu stores his energy in his cheeks. One of Pikachu's most powerful moves is Thunderbolt.
